Recently, a delegation led by Deng Gang, Director of the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering at the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research; Li Weichao, Deputy Chief Engineer; Cai Hong, Head of the Department; and Dr. Luo Jun, paid a visit to Haoyang Environment to conduct an in-depth research study and technical exchange on the application of geosynthetic materials in water conservancy and hydropower projects.
Accompanied by relevant company officials, the expert panel conducted an in-depth visit to the production workshop, observing the entire intelligent manufacturing process of geomembranes and gaining a thorough understanding of equipment technologies, production control systems, and product performance. They then proceeded to the Haoyang Technology Museum, where they systematically explored the company’s R&D capabilities, product portfolio, and engineering application cases in fields such as water conservancy and environmental protection.
During the exchange, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on core issues such as seepage control for earth‑rock dams, soft‑ground treatment in hydraulic engineering, and ecological water‑conservancy development, reaching broad consensus on technological innovation, standards and specifications, engineering applications, and future directions for geosynthetic materials. Director Deng Gang highly commended Haoyang Environment’s technical expertise and industrial strength in the field of geosynthetic materials, expressing his anticipation that the two parties will deepen their industry–university–research collaboration to jointly promote the green, efficient, and high‑quality development of water‑resources and hydropower projects.
This research mission has established an efficient communication platform between Haoyang Environment and national-level research institutes, while also providing a strong impetus for the company to deepen its presence in the water conservancy and hydropower markets and enhance its technical service capabilities. Moving forward, Haoyang Environment will remain driven by technological innovation, collaborate with leading industry partners, and contribute further professional expertise to the development of China’s water conservancy and hydropower sectors.

Xiaodonggou Molybdenum Mine Tailings Pond Project of Chifeng Chuyuan Mining Co., Ltd.
It is a key environmental protection project in the mining sector of Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a total investment of approximately RMB 350 million. Located in Songshan District, Chifeng City, the project is dedicated to the treatment of tailings generated during molybdenum ore beneficiation. By implementing high‑standard seepage control and intelligent management, it effectively prevents heavy‑metal contamination, safeguarding the water environment of the upper reaches of the Xiliao River and the surrounding ecological safety.
Chiyinman Phase II Tailings Pond Project
A “double-layer composite impermeable structure” is adopted: the primary impermeable layer consists of a 2.0 mm‑thick HDPE geomembrane (UV‑resistant and chemically corrosion‑resistant), while the secondary impermeable layer comprises a 1.5 mm‑thick HDPE geomembrane combined with a GCL bentonite liner, with a permeability coefficient ≤ 1 × 10⁻¹² cm/s.
The total investment amounts to approximately RMB 850 million. Leveraging the existing treatment center, the project will expand its capacity and upgrade its technology, with the aim of establishing a hazardous waste‑management hub that covers the entire value chain—from collection and storage to treatment and resource recovery—thereby addressing regional imbalances in hazardous waste‑treatment capacity across the province and safeguarding the ecological environment of the Yellow River Basin. Haoyang Environment supplied 92,000 m² of geomembrane, 105,937 m² of geotextile, 48,000 m² of composite drainage mats, and 800 m of biaxial plastic geogrids, under a contract worth RMB 3.5 million.
Under this agreement, an additional investment of RMB 28 million has been made on the basis of the original contract. In response to the forest farm’s ecologically sensitive characteristics, the seepage‑control standards have been upgraded, transforming the project into a demonstration facility for integrated environmental protection that combines “forestland” with “solid waste treatment” in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Haoyang Environment supplied 32,000 m² of double‑textured geomembrane, 32,000 m² of composite drainage geonet, and 32,000 m² of filament‑woven geotextile, with a contract value of RMB 1.2704 million.
It is a key ecological restoration project in Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, implemented by the Xingning Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources. With a total investment of approximately RMB 180 million, the project focuses on addressing historical heavy-metal contamination and soil‑water loss in former mining areas. Located in the Tieshanzhang mining district of Huanghuai Town, Xingning City, the project covers an area of about 85 hectares and employs seepage‑control and barrier technologies to prevent the migration of pollutants, thereby restoring the local ecological environment.
The total investment amounts to approximately RMB 350 million. Located in the Industrial Park of Zhongwei City, the project is dedicated to the safe landfill disposal of hazardous waste, with a designed annual treatment capacity of 50,000 tons and a service life of 20 years. It aims to address the challenges of end-of‑life hazardous waste management in Ningxia and neighboring regions, thereby safeguarding environmental security in the Yellow River Basin. Haoyang Environment supplied 42,000 m² of 2.0 mm textured and smooth geomembranes, 42,000 m² of 1.5 mm smooth and textured geomembranes, 42,000 m² of geotextiles, 42,000 m² of drainage nets, 12,000 m² of waterproof blankets, 100,000 m² of filament‑woven fabrics, and 110,000 anti‑aging woven bags, with a contract value of RMB 6.54536 million.
