　　The Baiyun Reservoir Project is one of Jinan City’s key construction projects for 2018 and was included in Shandong Province’s Major Project Database for New‑and‑Old Kinetic Energy Conversion in June 2018. Located at the junction of Baiyun Lake in Zhangqiu District and Gaoguanzhai Subdistrict, the reservoir covers a total area of 4,135 mu, has a total storage capacity of 16.41 million cubic meters, and a designed daily water supply capacity of 200,000 cubic meters. Upon completion, it will make full use of Yellow River water and surface water to provide a reliable water source for the eastern urban areas of Jinan, the central urban area of Zhangqiu, and ten towns and subdistricts in the northern region, thereby alleviating water scarcity in eastern Jinan, enhancing the city’s water‑supply reliability, and reducing reliance on groundwater.
