Powder-type bentonite waterproofing blanket (GCL)
Powder‑type GCL is an improved version of granular GCL. It uses 200‑mesh sodium‑based bentonite powder as the impermeable layer, which rapidly develops its waterproofing performance upon contact with water. This product features a fast response to moisture and excellent sealing performance. The bentonite particles are finer and more uniform, allowing them to better fill the spaces between the geotextiles, resulting in a denser overall structure and higher roll compactness. Consequently, it maintains a more stable shape during storage and transportation, minimizing issues such as loosening or deformation, thereby facilitating long‑term storage and long‑distance shipping.

Product Performance
Powder‑type GCL is an improved version of granular GCL. It uses 200‑mesh sodium‑based bentonite powder as the impermeable layer, which rapidly develops its waterproofing performance upon contact with water. This product features a fast response to moisture and excellent sealing performance. Its bentonite particles are finer and more uniform, allowing for better filling between geotextiles, resulting in a denser overall structure and higher roll compactness. Consequently, it maintains a more stable shape during storage and transportation, minimizing issues such as loosening or deformation—advantages that support long‑term storage and long‑distance transport. It is typically employed in applications with stringent waterproofing and seepage‑control requirements, particularly suitable for seepage prevention in reservoirs and artificial lakes. In projects where GCL serves as the primary impermeable layer, powder‑type GCL is recommended.
Main uses
1. Underground waterproofing works, including basements and underground parking garages, subways and tunnels, and underground utility tunnels.
2. Environmental protection projects such as landfills and wastewater treatment ponds
3. Hydraulic engineering projects such as reservoirs and artificial lakes, channel and river‑course management, and embankments and flood‑control walls.
4. Municipal and transportation engineering, including roads and bridges, rooftop greening, airport runways, and more.
