Polypropylene high-strength geotextile

“High‑strength polypropylene geotextile” is a major science and technology innovation project in Shandong Province, supported by the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Developed jointly by Haoyang Environmental and Tianjin University of Technology, it aims to overcome technical bottlenecks in conventional geotextiles—particularly in mechanical performance, acid–alkali resistance, and freeze–thaw durability. By innovating the production process, the project has enabled the industrial-scale manufacturing of high‑performance polypropylene geotextiles, with all key performance indicators meeting the standards for polypropylene filament geotextiles. This breakthrough has ended the long‑standing foreign monopoly on advanced polypropylene nonwoven geotextile production technologies in China, driving the country’s geosynthetic materials toward higher‑end, longer‑lasting, safer, and more environmentally friendly solutions. The initiative provides high‑quality, high‑standard products for China’s engineering projects and contributes to national infrastructure development.

1. Traffic engineering works such as the sliding layer and isolation layer of ballastless tracks, as well as subgrade reinforcement, etc.
2. Hydraulic and hydropower projects such as embankment and river channel reinforcement, drainage, and filtration
3. Tailings ponds and municipal facilities such as fly ash storage sites, landfills, and landscaping projects
4. Airports, ports, mine leaching ponds, and other projects requiring foundation reinforcement with acid- and alkali-resistant requirements.
